Howard F. Stein, a psychoanalytic anthropologist, teaches in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, Univ of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, OK, USA., where he has worked since 1978. He has published 26 books, of which five are poetry. In 2006 he was nominated for Oklahoma Poet Laureate.
