
Martin Lochner was born on 28 April 1978 in De Doorns; South-Africa . He was brought up in a small railway community called Touwsrier. He matriculated in 1996 ay Hugenote High School, Wellington. He studied fine art at Jack Meyer College and Art history at the Ecole des Arts abroad between 1997 and 2001.
