Form of a family

From Dallas, just recently arrived here in SF, enjoying the great food and music, the affectionate people, met some of the unseemly and they see me too. Just a modicum of strangeness in the streets, and you wonder sometimes 'are they as strange as me?'. And know they are... Yet, all new to me still. Creating something that this city begs me to release. Just not sure if anybody 'reads' anymore. I hope so, SF gives it graciously.

Echoes on memories that bring you to a new city.

Family
things can't be too serious
sometimes, only just
when life becomes blind
and flowers in broken vases
look too pretty
when they smash unwitted
or if the glass on the floor
cuts your bare feet
on your way out
to find something green
for the people
who need to be fed
and the blood drips
from your toe
through the path and garden
and reminds you of X-mas again
juniper berry colored
and pine tree scented lies
to cook dinner for that
group of ghosts again
listen 100 times to
their untrue tales
and lies wrapped in smiles
