Padded checkers and rings
Hold my see-saw feelings
Tragedy, triumph, good, and bad
The best rest I've ever had.
Once glued, now improved
I got back everything
I used to groggily wish for.

Padded checkers and rings
Hold my see-saw feelings
Tragedy, triumph, good, and bad
The best rest I've ever had.
Once glued, now improved
I got back everything
I used to groggily wish for.
Now I seem to be
Trapped in my own clarity.
Truths that will haunt me for years, and fears, dried up tears
Steered by sanity now, but how?
No better time to start than now
Forcing me to stand pat
A curse worse than a black cat
Labels by faces, replaces
All the old thoughts about myself.
But I know who and what I am
Like it or not
Do you really think my soul forgot?
