I've seen them in the sky, rolling across like
smoke, with their boundless reach. Seen them
at night too, when they think I'm asleep.

I don't sleep anymore. Not since Allison caught that
unknown chill. Cough killed her quick like a conibear.
About then, I started seeing them up in the sky while I
worked on cars at Old Redd's Exxon off Route 9. He's
seen them too, but he just calls me a jackass. George
Nouri's on the AM again--has a guy on about them.
He calls them chemtrails as smooth as a polished
rock in a tourist trap. Says he's heard of these people
getting sick and such. Old Redd says it's all a
bunch of nonsense. Says the feller on that
UFO he shot down told him so.
